Mormon Row is an extremely historic area of Grand Teton National Park, as well as an extremely popular place for photographers. Some of the most iconic images of Grand Teton National Park are taken here, and once you see the location, you'll understand why.... these historic homesteads have one of the most scenic backdrops found anywhere in the world! Mormon Row was established by Mormon settlers in the 1890's who moved into the Jackson Hole Area from Idaho. There were 27 homesteads established, and these farms thrived even though this area presents a very harsh environment for farming.

I have been a photographer for many years, it basically started when I was about 12, taking snaps around the house with a Brownie. I studied Photography at East Texas State University, now Texas A&M-Commerce, and have been working professionally ever since. My main method of earning a living is commercial photography, and I also teach a variety of age and skill levels. The images shown here reflect my love of the craft, mostly things that I do in my spare time. I shot film when we didn't have computers and Photoshop, so it's very important for me to get the best possible image out of the camera with little manipulation. I hope you enjoy this body of work, and thank you for visiting. GK **Buy Photographic Prints by Greg Kopriva,...

Greg This is stunningly portrayed- super dramatic use of light and shadow (darkness) - not only the contrast of the brightly lit barn against the black mountains and totally dark foreground, but also the sky being both bright and dark, with the bright part directly against the black mountains - its very mysterious and foreboding, but still magnetically pulling toward that barn (but my guess is it might not be a good idea to go inside) fantastic!!
